Location 1: Toronto, Cherry Street – Cherry Beach

Location 2: Toronto, 1681 Lake Shore Blvd E, Ontario M4L 3W6 – Woodbine Beach

Spot activities:   kitesurfing, snow kiting, kite buggy,windsurfing, swimming.

Suitable for skill level : kiting spot in Toronto for Intermediate, advanced must be able to ride upwind, perform kitesurfing body-dragging and self-rescue techniques . Beginner and/or advanced lessons with kitesurfing school instructor and boat support.

Suitable wind directions:  

Location 1: S, SW, E, ENE.  

Location 2: S, SE, E, ENE, NE Always check forecast to know when  WSW  may shift to W ,NW – offshore

On site riding condition :  Flat to choppy water with waves up to 1m. Shallow water entry with rocks (kiteboarding water shoes recommended) on bottom for approximately 20-30m and then gets deep.

Setup area:

L1: Public beach 20-25m and rescue boat during swimming season. Due to the size of the beach, trees, power lines and lifeguard tower it is not recommended to practice kite flying on land. Launch your power kite and walk into water right away.

L2: Public sandy beach 300m wide 300m long Located on Ashbridges Bay great for kiteboarding on waves. Deep water entry approximately 20m off shore. Beware of undertow. Lifeguard on duty during swimming season. Watch out and respect other beach goers and swimmers.
